President's Message

Marty Stimson | Published on 10/2/2024

Greetings Everyone!

I hope everyone is getting outside and enjoying some of our nice fall weather days. Joining one of the club bike rides would be one fun activity you could do. Or joining in on the many Octoberfest club gatherings. You can read more about all our fall, and winter weekend activities in this issue. Speaking of great weather and things to do, it was a perfect day for our September kickoff meeting. Thank you, Todd, for the great job of sharing all our fall and winter weekend activities so check out his “things to do” article in this issue.

We are getting close to being full on our early February Whitefish ski trip so get signed up if you are still thinking. For a fun spring trip, there is a very narrow window to sign up for our great “Heartland of the Canadian Rockies” motor coach and cruise tour September 1st returning the 17th. Cosmos will only hold our spots for a couple of weeks. See the article in this issue for the details. We are hoping to announce all the New Orleans trip details at our October meeting. That covers our 2025 major non ski trips, so we need your ideas for our 2026 trips, and our 25/26 winter ski trips.

But before I wrap up my message, I can’t leave without asking for your help again. First, I will always say our club is one of the best. Like our September meeting. The camaraderie of 65 members getting together for our fall Kickoff meeting to hear what’s happening and enjoying a picnic style evening was great. Our weekend trips and our big ski and non-ski trips really make the club. The Washington DC trip we just got back from was nothing short of fantastic. But we continue to need your help by either running for the board or running a trip. So, thanks in advance for even thinking about running.
