Culinary Night - Vietnamese

The September Culinary event was at the Vietnamese restaurant Pho Mai. The seven people who participated commented that others were missing out on eating at a great restaurant that served generous portions of very tasty food which was served sizzling hot. You can tell from the picture taken at the end of the evening that most were going home with leftovers for the next day. The group enjoyed a quieter venue where it was easy to converse with all at the table. The four who had been on the DC trip shared some of their favorite experiences of the trip with the others. It was a delightful evening.
Cedar Rapids has a plethora of Mexican restaurants. Some have been mainstays for long periods of time while others seem to come and go in short order. The next Culinary Night will be at Four Hermanos, which recently opened a second location in the former Via Sophia’s at 1125 1st Ave SE. That neighborhood has seen a lot of change in the last couple of months. The reviews are quite positive so let’s give some support to a mom-and-pop local establishment on Tuesday, October 15 at 6 PM.
