Galena/Dubuque Ski & Fun Trip

Weather during the week was quite frigid, but by Friday temperatures were warming. We had fabulous weather for the weekend, sunny, low winds and high 30’s/low 40’s.
Holiday Inn, Dubuque was a great location, within walking distance to numerous restaurants, pubs and entertainment.
After the Welcome Reception Friday night, some folks sampled chocolate martinis at Pepper Sprout and some went to a Comedy Show at the Casino.
Chestnut Mountain was not too crowded Saturday and conditions were very good. Those shopping in Dubuque on Saturday loaded up on end of the season deals! Dinner at Vinny Van Vanucchi’s in Dubuque did not disappoint! Evening entertainment at the Casino was a good draw. It was a nice surprise to see a few EISC members who were not staying with us, drive up for the day to ski. Sunday was skiing at Sundown Mountain and several enjoyed entertainment there in the afternoon.
