Greetings everyone! In between our summer storms and hot weather, I hope everyone has stayed safe, enjoyed their own trips and activities, and have been able to enjoy some of your club’s many trips and activities. I’m not able to make it on every club trip or to every activity but I very much enjoy seeing everyone when I can.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR OUR ANNUAL FALL KICKOFF MEETING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th. NOTE THIS YEAR WE ARE AT MORGAN CREEK PARK. Hoping I can see everyone there.
I think your club has offered some really nice trips and activities this year. We did make the April trip to New Orleans which we thought was a really nice trip. September 1st there is another group heading to the Canadian Rockies and up the inter-coastal passage to Alaska and back. From all the Board, our sincere thanks to all those that help coordinate these trips and all the activities your club did this summer and continues to do. These trips and activities don’t happen without all your help. Thank You. Your Board trip Subcommittee will be meeting again soon to narrow down your list of next year’s adventure trip ideas so we can share at September’s meeting. It’s never too late to share your ideas. Please reach out to any Board member so we can get your ideas on the list.
In case you were not aware, the East Iowa Ski Club now has 154 members. Our numbers continue to grow. The best way to increase membership is with personal invitations to your friends. So, we encourage everyone to share information on Facebook or other social media to reach out to a wider audience and introduce your friends to EISC.
