EISC Bike Ride to Solon

We had 11 EISC members (including new member
Brian Kruse) show up at Tait Cummins Softball Complex ready to ride to Solon at 9:30 am, on August 14th. The weather was great; warm, sunshine and a light breeze out of the south.
We had a leisurely ride, arriving at the Big Grove Brewery in Solon, a little after 11:00 am. Lunch wasn’t particularly fast and it was well after 12:00 pm when we headed back towards Cedar Rapids. We had full sun on our way to Solon, but while we were having lunch it clouded over. The cloud cover, lowering the temp and the slight south breeze made for a pretty fast return trip and everyone arrived safely back at Tait Cummins trailhead.
