Rosanne first joined the EISC about 20 years ago. At that time, she skied a bit, but never very well. After she and George started dating, he also joined the club. George tried his hand at skiing, but after knocking down a few kiddos on the bunny hill, he decided this was not the sport for him. Over the years, they have been members several times and they enjoy all the friends they have made while in the club. Rosanne currently serves on the Board and was also the Board secretary in her early years in the club. George and Rosanne have two grandchildren and he is known as Papa George. Rosanne is a Linn County Master Gardener and weeding seems to be her specialty! They both enjoy traveling and really enjoyed the trip to New Orleans with the club. They recently visited Greece and Turkey and are looking forward to a cruise to Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia in May. George is an avid Hawkeye fan and they both enjoy pro football although they are Bears and Packers rivals. They look forward to many more years with the club and continuing to meet new friends. Jeff Owen has been a long-time member and resides in West Liberty, IA. He is known to many as the "Big O" and is also the "little brother" of Janet Stimson.
Jeff has been an active member of EISC and a promoter / ambassador for East Iowa Ski Club. Over the years Jeff has served as Trip Co-Chair and joined many trips and events. One such trip was a bus trip where a group of EISC members traveled to Minnesota for a fun weekend. Last year, Jeff joined us on the ski trip to Devil’s Head and Cascade Mountain in Wisconsin wearing his Iowa Hawkeye ski helmet. Thank you, Jeff “Big O”, for being an active member of EISC!
