The nominating committee has recommended the following individuals for a two-year term on the East Iowa Ski Club Board:  Steve Cummings, Todd Eadie, Tim Gull, James Toothaker, LeeAnn Eddins and Dawn Novetzke. The term will begin in April 2026 and run through April 2028. Their biographies are listed below. The election will be held at the February 2026 meeting. An absentee ballot is at the end of this newsletter for those who are unable to attend the meeting. Submitted by the nominating committee:  Rosanne VanCura, Lori Huff and Cathy Dick.

Steve Cummings:
I and am up for re-election for the 2026 EISC board of directors one last time. My wife Sandra and I have enjoyed being members of the club for many years. While a member of the EISC, I have skied at some of finest resorts on the greatest mountains in the world and am grateful for the opportunities the club has provided. We recently have enjoyed the adventure trips along with the bicycle rides, golf outings and other activities. We feel fortunate to be a part of such an active, positive, fun group. Although the skiing in the club seems to be slowing down, seeing more members become active through the adventure trips is gratifying.

Todd Eadie:
I have been a member of EISC since January 2023 and I am running for re-election as an EISC board member. Since becoming a member, I have met many fun and friendly people. My interests include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, golfing and biking. I have served as a Ski Trip Co-Chair on the Minneapolis Ski & Fun Trip that included both skiing and non-skiing activities. I have also joined the Beaver Creek, CO ski trip. I am very excited to ski in Colorado again since skiing Steamboat, CO many years ago. As a Board member, I will work to help serve the club by continuing to provide fun and exciting events year around.

LeeAnn Eddins:
I originally joined EISC in 2008 and rejoined in 2023. When I rejoined so many friends welcomed me back, I felt right at home. I am married to Stu Eddins, and we live in Cedar Rapids. An active member of EISC, I served as a Trip Co-Chair for a Midwest Ski Trips in each of my membership terms. I like a good party with a theme as evidenced by my efforts with the recent Post-Party Gras. I own my own business as a graphic designer, entrepreneur, and teacher. Outgoing and active, I am involved in the community and serve on professional boards, as an Economic Alliance Ambassador, and volunteer for charity and my church. I hope to make a positive contribution with my service on the board, returning the favor of fun and friendship to the Ski Club I have enjoyed for so long.

Tim Gull:
I have a skiing addiction. It started when I was 12 at Sundown and has gotten progressively worse. Skiing has affected my bank account, relationships and mental attitude. Joining EISC nearly 30 years ago has been therapeutic to my condition. During that time | rode on the coat tails of the board members before me who put in the work to launch trips and grow the club. | have been on the board for the past election cycle and if you have me, I will give my best for another term.

Dawn Novetzke:
I officially joined EISC in February 2023, and I have been a proud Iowan since making the jump from Minnesota in ’93. By day, I am part of the team at Collins Aerospace, but my favorite roles are being a mom to Naomi and Charlie (who luckily live nearby!) and "Chief Walker" to my puppy, Brody. When I’m not at my work desk, you’ll likely find me chasing live music, hitting the bike trails, or snowshoeing through an Iowa winter. I am a firm believer in embracing life and I am always looking to connect with others who value good fun and great company.

James Toothaker:
Most of you will recognize me at this point, but I am one of the younger members of this club, I have been a member of the board for this last term, I am seeking re-election to the board so that I can continue to contribute to the club in any way that I can. My interests include Skiing, Hiking, Sailing and Flying. I am really grateful that the club allows me to go on much more exciting and affordable trips than I could manage without the Club structure. I look forward to participating in the club regardless of whether I remain on the board or not.
