Nine members gathered for food, drinks, and conversation at a new restaurant, Cedar Rapids’ Koffi Grill. It would have been 11, but Jim Steinke wasn’t feeling well, so they bowed out. His wife Brenda reports that he is feeling much better. The menu is varied, offering African, Caribbean, and American choices. The food wasn’t anything special; those that chose from the American meals were most satisfied with their choice. Service was not great, with two people not getting their dinners until everyone else was almost done. Although we had high hopes and tried a new place, there wasn’t enough to recommend it for a return visit.
Our next get-together will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14th at Mulligans Pub (1060 Old Marion Rd NE, Cedar Rapids). This has been a favorite of locals for several years.
