What a way to wrap up the season! Our annual Post Party was a great success, bringing together 69 members and a few new friends to celebrate not just a fantastic year of adventure, but also a pre-party for the USA’s 250th Birthday. The venue was transformed with festive and patriotic decor, with the attendees adorned in Red, White, and Blue.
We enjoyed a delicious spread of Prime Rib and Chicken Marsala, followed by a beautiful commemorative cake. A huge thank you goes out to our organizers who laid the foundation of our celebration:
- Janet Stimson: For expertly coordinating the catering and main menu.
- Rosanne Van Cura: For providing the stunning (and tasty!) cake.
- Denny Bossard: For using his "inner circle" connections to secure the Eagles’ Club for us.
After dinner, Steve Cummings led a short meeting to recap our whirlwind year assisted by Tim Gull, Janet Stimson, and Rosanne Van Cura. From the snowy slopes to the summer peddles, paddles, and picnics, a nostalgic slideshow reminded us all why this club is so special. Once the business was out of the way, The Detour Band took the stage and kept the energy high.
An event like this doesn't just happen by accident. We owe our gratitude to the Decorating Committee for their tireless work in bringing the patriotic theme to life. Thank you:
