Saturday morning at 10am 30 cheerful and eager East Iowa Ski Club cyclist mounted their bikes and started on the trail along Pine Lake.

We biked along Upper Pine, then lower Pine, Past the contaminated beach, across the high bride to our first stop. We explored the railroad museum in the city park. We checked out the caboose and dammit there was no bathroom in the caboose!

On to the next stop, we visited the CCC museum, that later served as barracks for German prisoners of WW2. The curator gave us an interesting presentation.

We then rode through Eldora, north to Steamboat Rock for our lunch break. Chris Kalmar put his ebike in high gear and was the first to John and Joan's river patio.
There, we relaxed, hydrated and ate burgers and brats. Wendall and George
took off first, anxious to ride more miles. When it was time to leave the patio. Janet Stimson made the wise decision to ride Bev's ebike. It was a healthy climb from the river level town of Steamboat Rock back to the campground. Janet took advantage of the third level of assist. She commented that she was addicted to the ebike once we were back at the campground. It was time to sit in the shade and relax after the enjoyable ride.
