Cedar Rapids “Ride the Districts” Recap

There were approximately 60 bike enthusiasts from Cedar Rapids who participated in the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation “Ride the Districts” on Saturday, June 13th at 9:30 am. This 15-mile guided bike ride that featured the Alliant Energy LightLine™ project and Cedar Lake improvements. There were six members from East Iowa Ski Club who attended this free event: Denny Bossard (and daughter from Colorado), Todd Eadie, Carla Eilers, Dwayne Grote, and Jared Klein. The weather was very pleasant with no wind which made biking relaxing as we biked along the Cedar River to downtown Cedar Rapids and NewBo district. Green “Ride the Districts” t-shirts were provided to the bikers however they did not have t-shirts for everyone as there was a good number of people who attended.
