Electric Cellist Sam Day at Lubben Vineyards Recap

Despite the excessive heat warning today, 15 hearty EISC members and two guests enjoyed an afternoon of wine, peach sangria slushies, food and music at Lubben Vineyards. Fortunately, the event was held indoors so we had air conditioning, which worked so well, that I stepped outside twice to warm up. That didn't take very long!
Sam Day and his electric cello have quite a following based on the crowd, who all seemed to know him. Unfortunately, the acoustics indoors are not the best, so we couldn't always hear what he was playing, but we all agreed, he is a talented musician and would like to see him again. Special thanks to Cathy Dick and Becky Fenelon for securing a large table for all of us. Thank you all for coming and I hope to do it again, when we can be outside in nice fall weather and it doesn't feel like we are standing at the gates of hell!
